He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lee Vaughn and Kathryn Myrt Smith Vaughn; his wife Frances Vaughn; his daughter Janet Carol Swilley; and his brothers, William Paschal Vaughn, Joseph "Joe" Vaughn and John D. "Jack" Vaughn.
He is survived by: his daughter Debra Vaughn Fleeman (Lavern); his grandsons, Byron Fleeman, Alan Fleeman (Melena), Jason Fleeman (Amanda) and Eric Fleeman (LuAnn); his great grandchild Cole; his granddaughter Renee Davenport (Kenny); his great grandchildren, Hayden, Caitlin, Amber, Hailey, Alexis, Samuel, Hannah, Carter Fleeman, Nathan and Autumn Davenport; and his great great grandchild Layla Fleeman. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
The family requests that any memorials be made to the First Baptist Church, 206 Thornton Street, Union Point, GA 30669.
