He was predeceased by: his parents, Hoke Bett and Anna Aretha Parker. He is survived by: his wife Dyxie Lassiter Parker; his children, Julie Parker Clay (Jacob) of Sharpsburg and Christopher Parker (Callie) of Palmetto; his grandchildren, Abigail Vogel, Avery Vogel, Vera Parker, Riot Parker and Scout Parker; his siblings, Glydon Dorsey of Riverdale, Yvonne Jackson of Newnan, Kay Parker of Union City, Becky Wiles of Meridian, ID, Randell Parker of Conyers and Mike Parker of Jacksonville, FL; and his father-in-law James Lassiter of Union City.
If preferred, in lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made in memory of Gene Parker to Hopewell United Methodist Church in Tyrone.
