He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Higgs and Martha Russell Higgs; his brother Wayne; his sister-in-law Ann of Hughesville, MD; and his siblings, Michael (Dannye) of Davidson, NC and Janet Aldrich (Jack) of Cookeville, TN..
He is survived by: his wife Wanda; and his siblings, Stephen (Connie), Tim (Jennifer), Jack (Rebekka) and Kathleen Hillebrand (Ted). He is also survived by 22 Nephews/Nieces, 26 Great-Nephews/Nieces and two Great-Great Nephews.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, April 20th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Sea Baptist Church (811 Butler Ave, Tybee Island, GA 31328).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Chapel by the Sea Baptist Church, Tybee Island, GA, or Hospice of Savannah, as a testament to David's generous spirit and commitment to serving others.
