She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Newton and Cora Webb Newton; her husband James E. Canady; and her siblings, Sarah Ellen Newton Gillis and Charlie James Newton.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Claxton (Keith) of Swainsboro, GA. and Chuck Canady of Swainsboro, GA.; and her grandchildren, Kristal Smith (Wayne), Derrick Canady (Jennifer), Mathew Claxton, Joshua Claxton and Jamie Phillips (Chris).
