He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Marie Dickson Pitts; his parents, Claude Martin and Mary Lou Lovingood Pitts; and his siblings, Sharon Pitts, Wanda Hicks, Kenneth Pitts, Wayne Pitts and Randall Pitts.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Campbell (Mike) of Cohutta, GA., Hank Pitts (Anna) of Tunnel Hill, GA. and Patty Montgomery (Michael) of Dalton, GA.; his brother Martin "Red" Pitts (Linda Nelms) of Tunnel Hill, GA.; his grandchildren, Bret Campbell, Kyle Campbell, Jessica Robertson (Beaver), Brian Pitts (Kelsey), Payton Pitts, Stone Pitts, Willa Pitts, Jordan Patterson, Chloe Montgomery and Ayden Montgomery; and his great grandchild Asher Robertson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
