He was predeceased by: his parents, Hayden Simpson and Mary Ruth Simpson. He is survived by: his children, Steven Craig Simpson (Anna Cornelius) and Sarah Ruth (Cory Eicholtz); his siblings, Ralph Simpson, Mike (Carol Simpson) and Teri (Paul Cross); his grandchildren, Drayton Simpson, Zoey Simpson, Atticus Simpson, Dakota Eicholtz and Logan Eicholtz; and his great grandchild Vera Simpson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
