Max Tankersley Obituary

We are sad to announce that on January 18, 2020, at the age of 81, Max Tankersley (Tunnel Hill, Georgia) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Tankersley and Essie Oxford; and his son Toney Cooksey. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Tankersley; his children, Doug Tankersley (Lori), Wayne Tankersley (Lori), Janice Tankersley, Valorie Prewitt (Chuck), David Cooksey, Marie Cooksey, Scott Cooksey (Audrey) and Thomas Cooksey (Cathy); and his siblings, Faye Mullins, Nina Oxford, Charles Tankersley and Larry Tankersley. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
