He is survived by: his wife Earlene Self; his parents, Henry Self and Catherine Self; his siblings, Alice Self, Charlotte Self and Frank Self; his daughters-in-law, Steve Watkins of Tunnel Hill, Jan Watkins of Tunnel Hill, Stan Watkins of Tunnel Hill and Patti Watkins of Tunnel Hill; and also, Sue Vess of Ringgold, Gene Vess of Ringgold, Wilma Riddle of Ringgold, James Riddle of Ringgold, Tommy Self, Pat Self of Dalton and Donald Self of Ringgold. He is also survived by four grandchildren and their spouses, Heather and David Gates, Greta and Mark Beckler, Leslie Talley, and Drew Watkins; ten great-grandchildren.
