He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Phillips and Rosa Phillips; his children, Donald Phillips and Cheri Richie; his siblings, Ronald Phillips and Louise Robertson; and his former wife Jo Nell Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Edith Phillips of Tunnel Hill; his son Daniel; his daughter-in-law Freda Phillips of Dalton; his daughters, Linda (Tim Harvey) and Angela (Sam Bishop); and his son-in-law Ronald Richie. He is also survived by daughter-in-law, Lynn Phillips Camp; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
