He is survived by: his wife Deborah "Debbie" Sue Owen Steele of Tunnel Hill, GA.; his children, Sherry Burg (Scott) of Providence Forge, Melissa McRobie (Brian) of Tunnel Hill and Shawn Steele (Sara) of Faribault, Minnesota; his siblings, Maxine Frantz of Philipsburg, June Moriarty of Boalsburg, Joyce Wynne of Williamsburg, Virginia and Richard Steele of Curwensville, Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Christian McRobie (Brittany), Logan Burg and Drake McRobie; and his great grandchildren, Carsten McRobie and Cainen McRobie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
