He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Bennett and Ruby "Cochran" Bennett; and his siblings, Melvin Bennett, Tommy Bennett, Roy Bennett, Linda Hayes, Brenda Oglesby, Lona Mae Martin and Frances Rogers.
He is survived by: his wife Gwen Cox; his children, Adam (Lacey Bennett), Joey Bennett of Dalton, Kevin (Diane Vineyard), Johnny (Angie Vineyard) and Tina (Jeff Long); his siblings, Richard Bennett of Dalton, Barbara Jean Land of Dalton and Loretta (Bill Akins); and his grandchildren, Austin Long, Adain Bennett, Javik Bennett, Colter Long, Gage Long, Jimmy Johnson, Travis Vineyard, Courtney Long, Alyssa Bennett, Brittany Whorley and Kimberly Johnson. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
