He is survived by: his wife Martha Shires; his daughter Janice; his son-in-law Ron Clark of Rossville; his stepchildren, Ginny (Reece Horne) of Tunnel Hill and Jimmy; his siblings, Faye Gervais of Rossville and Don; his sister-in-law Nancy Shires of Rainsville, AL; his grandchildren, Amanda Robinson (John), Scott Harris (Tina), Kristi Clinton (Johnny), Jennifer McGaughey (Terry), Whitney Goble (Jeremey) and Dedra Bridges (Dana); his great grandchildren, Julie, Jake, Chelsa, David, Lexie, Lanie, Hallie, Warren, Alana, Austin, Haylee, Lauren, Jacob, Brent, Mikayla, Santiago and Hannah; and his nieces and nephews, Lauren, Savannah, Gracie, Lucas, Gayla, Steve and Darrell.
