He was predeceased by: his brothers, James Brogdon (Patsy) and Elmer "Junior" Brogdon (Janet); and his parents, Ruby Brogdon and Madison Brogdon. He is survived by: his wife Teresa Coward Blizzard; his daughters, Abbie Blizzard, Ashley Scruggs (Michael) and Pauline Blizzard; his grandchildren, Davis and Dorothy Anne; his sisters, Francis Null (Steve) and Clara Hunter (Dwayne); and his father-in-law Charles Blizzard.
