He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Day and Ruby Head Day; his wife Ann Smith Hughes Day; his brother Gene Day of Trion; and his granddaughter Lizbeth Casteñeda.
He is survived by: his son William "Rusty" Kenneth Day, Jr. (Nora) of Rome; his grandchildren, Norberto Castenada (Diana), Stephanie Castenada and Lexi Day; and his great grandchildren, Ariana Castenada of Rome, Benjamin Castenada of Rome and Orlando Castenada of Rome.
