He was predeceased by: his parents, William Anderson Powell and Nancy Sue Johnson Powell; and his brother Alex E. Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Laura Wright Johnson; his children, Steven Johnson, Shane Johnson and Ebony Upshaw; his grandson Zyresse Watkins; his brothers, Darryl Powell, Chad Powell and Anthony Powell; and his mother-in-law Pearline Willingham. He is also survived by Several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
