She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Taylor Vann and Elsie Rebecca Trammell Vann; her brothers, Sidney Vann, Norton Vann, Tid Vann and Timothy Vann; her children, Janie Marie Brown and Gene Roland Brown; her grandson Jason Eugene Brown; and her daughter-in-law Rebecca Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Dean J. Brown and Sheila Marie; her children-in-law, Mac Massey and Dale Brown; and her sisters, Bonnie Croy and Patricia Morgan. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
