She is survived by: her children, Charles Pledger, Jr. and Donna; her son-in-law Mario Fernandes; and her grandchildren, Alexandra Fugate, Dillon Fernandes and Diego Fernandes. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
She was a former president of the Chattanooga and East Tennessee Women's Aglow Fellowship and was also past president of the Catoosa County American Cancer Society.
