With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay Hamby of Trion, Georgia, born in Summerville, Georgia, who passed away on May 8, 2021 at the age of 61. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Phillips and Ethel Mae Murdock Grant; and her siblings, Ruth Hamby, Rachel Ashworth, Benny Matney and Jackie Matney.
She is survived by: her close friend Jimmy Ray Sills; her children, Mary Kay Hines, Amanda Hotalen, April Hotalen, Debera Hotalen, Dewey Padgett, Tony Hotalen and William Hotalen; and her brother Ray Cundiff. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Hamby asks that anyone attending the services, to please follow the CDC guidelines as it pertains to social distancing, social gatherings and facemasks.
