He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Earl Witt and Barbara Jean Palmer Witt; his wife Mary Elaine Helms Witt; his brother Greg Witt; his parents-in-law, Bobby and Margie Helms; and his brother-in-law Richard Helms.
He is survived by: his children, Stephen Witt (Brandy), Kari Groce (Brad) and Brittanie Chamlee (Jeremy); his brothers, Chris Witt (Connie) and Sid Witt (Melody); his brother-in-law Steve Helms; his grandchildren, Emma Witt, Evan Witt, Fisher Witt, Abby Groce, Brady Groce, Blaine Groce, Ella Bolton, Coleson Chamlee, Greyson Chamlee and Averie Chamlee; his aunt Patricia Houston; and his close friends, Ed and Regina Parker.
