It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Wayne Uptain of Trion, Georgia, born in Rome, Georgia, who passed away on December 24, 2020, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Uptain and Elizabeth Rutledge Uptain; his son Jacob Wayne Uptain; his wife Marsha Uptain; his daughters, Tiffany Shropshire (Allie) and Amber Uptain (Sarah Emery); his brother Don; his sister-in-law Christy Uptain; his sister Melanie; his brother-in-law Rodney Wooten; his granddaughter Ayva DeBerry; his close friends, Jamie Dodd and Marilyn; and his grandmother Dodd.
