He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie W. "Bill" Purdy and Edna Cagle Purdy; and his niece Sherri Purdy Nix. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Caylor Purdy; his children, Brent Purdy (Cathy), Sly Purdy (Lela), Trena Purdy and Dixie Warren (Lane); his siblings, Jerry Purdy (Martha), Bobby Purdy (Elaine) and JoAnn Eads (Tommy); and his grandchildren, Hudson Purdy, Griffin Purdy, Lyla Warren, Laikyn Purdy and Nate Purdy.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Mason Funeral Home (320 GA-48, Summerville, GA 30747). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 27th 2024 at the West Hill Cemetery (457 Pine St, Trion, GA 30753).
