He is survived by: his parents, Garlis Sparks and Shirley Jean Chastain Sparks; his wife Melanie Smith Sparks; his children, Dana Youngs (James), Shane Sparks (Britney) and Jacob Sparks; and his brothers, Terry Sparks, Dennis Sparks, Michael Sparks and Brian Sparks. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
