She is survived by: her parent Myrtle Hines Sills; her husband Carl Carter; her daughter Johnnie Porter; her son-in-law Phillip Smith; her grandson Thomas Wayne Painter; her children, Michael Painter, Jeff Painter, Tina Christopher, Melissa Addison, Brenda Bramlett and Tammy Smith; her siblings, Jimmy Ray Sills and Roberta Smith; and her niece Ann Carpenter. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
