He was predeceased by: his wife Rachel Brown; his parents, Roy Brown and Linda Brown; and his siblings, Ed Brown, Johnny Brown, Claude Brown, Charles Brown, Mary Tucker and Margaret Hale.
He is survived by: his sons, Terry Brown and Jerry Brown; his grandsons, Seth and Noah Brown; and his sister Sandra Nichols. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to The Chattanooga Heart Institute or the American Cancer Society.
