He was predeceased by : his wife Thelma Ruth Taylor; his parents, William Taylor and Rena Taylor; and his brothers, Columbus Harlon, Amos, Luther and Tuck Taylor.
He is survived by : his children, Donna Williams (Perry) and Willie Taylor (Mary); and his sister Vonnie Sharpton. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
