He was predeceased by: his wife Rita Stephens; his parents, William Paul and Doris Catherine Pettyjohn Stephens; and his siblings, Butch, Ronnie, Larry and Joan Stephens.

He is survived by: his daughters, Stacy Stephens of Flat Rock, AL and Christye Walker (Thomas) of Flat Rock, AL; his grandchildren, Anthony Douglas, Levi Stephens and Baylee Bunn; and his great grandchildren, Luke Douglas, Zoie Stephens, Layla Stephens and Millie Douglas. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
