He was predeceased by: his daughter Crystal Vergara; his parents, Rushel Smith and Bessie Sanford Smith; and his siblings, Lorene Daniel, Norma Wells, Rushel Jesse Smith, Connie Sue Harris and Wayne Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Smith; his children, Ronald Dustin Smith (Delaney), Dawn Michelle Stevens (Ray) and Paul Vergara; his grandchildren, Chasity Stevens, Lillian Stevens and Kylee Vergara; his siblings, Dean Smith, Don Smith, Doyle Smith and Darlene Smith Proctor; and his friend Sharon Little. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
