She was predeceased by: her parents, Hoyt Harris and Eula Harris; her former husband Rev. Johnny E. Smith, Sr.; her siblings, Wanda Harris, Louie Harris and Mildred Harris Duncan; and her stepson Greg Alexander.
She is survived by: her husband John Alexander; her children, David Smith (Kim) of Mobile, AL, Johnny E. Smith, Jr. (Caroline) of Lookout Mtn, TN and Lisa Reyes (Denny) of Trenton, GA; her sister Janette Wilkinson (Roger) of Flat Rock, AL; her stepdaughter Terry Alexander of Charlottesville, VA; and her bonus son Pat Smith of Trenton, GA. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
