He was predeceased by: his parents, William Mashburn and Dollie Mashburn; and his siblings, William Mashburn, Grady Mashburn, Susie Moore, Margie Robins, James Mashburn, Mary Spears, Ruth Smith, Lloyd Mashburn and Joe Mashburn.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Mashburn; his children, Judy Gordon (Mike), Diane Sparks (Jim), Dewayne Mashburn (Cindy) and David Mashburn (Donna); his sister Helen Morton; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Mashburn, Joshua Mashburn, Leslie Horton, Brian Mashburn, Shelly Sparks, Christopher Collins, Shawn Gordon, Nicolas Tate and Timothy Gordon. He is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and a host friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Moore Funeral Home - Trenton (11910 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at the Lakewood Memory Gardens West (3809 Cummings Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37419).
In recognition of his contributions to the profession, Paul was honored with induction into the Bus Driver Hall of Fame in 2023.
