He was predeceased by: his parents, Leotis Thornton and Catherine Thornton (Lucille); his siblings, Mary Lou West, Pauline June Baldwin and Leotis Carroll Thornton; and his daughter Kimberly Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Robinette; his children, Angie Adams (Johnny), Kenneth Thornton, Tracey Thornton, Jeremy Thornton (Breanna), Jennifer Wojcik (Adam), Jeanette Cox (Roger) and Julie Opper (Leonard); his grandchildren, Ashley, John Matthew and Jared Adams; and his children, Shannon Schissler, Kristopher, John, Steven Carper, Kaylie, Kara, Kyle, Karlie Opper, Abby, Matthew, Nathan, Elijah Wojcik, Ambry and Charli Cox. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.
