He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewitt Wade and Dorothy Gass Wade; his wife Juanita Wade; his son William Joseph "Billy Joe" Wade, Jr.; and his brother Donnie Wade.
He is survived by: his children, Jessica Albritton (Joshua) and Charles "Charlie" Wade; his siblings, Sandra Buttram, Leon Wade and Larry Wade; and his grandson Charles Dewitt Wade, II.
