He was predeceased by: his wife Peggy Jean Reeves Gass; his son Jamie Gass; his parents, Herman Gass and Novella Gass; and his siblings, Kenneth Gass, Bryan Gass, Dana Cagle, Sheila Spurgeon, Carolyn Wooten and Gloria Weathers.
He is survived by: his sons, Tim Gass (Jennifer), Mark Gass (Alisa) and Shane Gass (Sandy); his sisters, Delene Ervin (Bob) and Brenda Smith (Jackie); his grandchildren, Bug, Bailey, Taylor, Luke, Nick, Sophie, Amanda and Melissa; and his great grandchildren, Kimber, Coleson and Boone.
