He was predeceased by: his parents, William Summerford and Bea Thompson Summerford (Bettye Jean Summerford); and his siblings, William "Dub", Jack, Billy Ray, Roy Summerford, Marie Wooten, Betty Jo Wooden, Shirley Ann Hancock, Vernice Summerford and Doris Jean Pruitt.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Tully (Charlie) and Paul Summerford (Cheryl); his stepson Steve Combs (Sherry); and his siblings, Jewel Guffey, Joyce Brown, Gracie Morrow (Radford) and Earnest Summerford. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
