He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilburn "Doodle" and Louvenia Lowery Gass; his stepmother Roxie Holley Gass; and his sister Margaret Holland. He is survived by: his wife Sally Gass; his daughters, Anna Pitts (Hank) and Mestisa Gass; his siblings, Betty Wooten, Marie Hotchkiss, Kathryn Painter, Barbara White, Eulene Cloud, Charles Pete Gass and Jim Pardue; and his grandchildren, Brian, Payton, Stone and Willa Pitts.
