He was predeceased by: his parents, John Elijah and Queenie Morris Hammon; and his siblings, Junior, Doyle, William, Shelly McKee and Rena Lou Stone.
He is survived by: his wife Katie Hammons; his children, Diann Moreland (Tim), Frank David Jr. Hammons (Mary), Don Hammons (Mary) and Tracy Hammons (Kim); and his brother Robert Hammon. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren.
