She was predeceased by: her husband Wallace Underwood; her close friend James Guthrie; her sons, David and Kevin Underwood; and her parents, Ernest DeFord and Ada DeFord.

She is survived by: her children, Shirley Klein (James), Robert Underwood (Julie), Wally Underwood (Sue), Patrick Underwood, Bryan Underwood (Tiffanie), Miles Underwood and Chris Underwood; and her siblings, Elizabeth Betty LaBean, Dorothy Tapia, Ruth Clements, Carol Diamond, Linda Dabrowski, Edward DeFord and Eugene DeFord. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren.
