She was predeceased by: her parents, Woodrow Cates and Emma Cates; her sons, Tony Clark and Lamar Clark; her grandson Lebron Portwood; and her brothers, Leon Cates and Harvey Cates.
She is survived by: her sons, Phillip (Sherry Clark) and Dennis (Regina Clark); her grandchildren, Chris Clark, Valerie Clark, Daniel Clark (Bethany), Matthew Clark, Jennifer Clark, Lisa Coffey (Bill) and Troy Portwood; and her siblings, Janice Massey, Gwendolyn "Sissy" Blevins, Grandville Cates and Devoit Cates (Pam). She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
