He was predeceased by: his parents, Orville York and Virginia York; and his brothers, Arvile York, Raymond York, Harold York and Lloyd York.
He is survived by: his wife Loretta York; his sons, Darvin York, Jr. (Myra) and Terry York (Shawna); his siblings, Delma Lee Black, Patricia Bailey, Freida Wooten, Charles York and Bill York; and his grandchildren, Emily Costley (Bryan), Ellen Kay, Preston York (Brittany), Lynzie Blackmon (Avery) and Jackson York. He is also survived by six great grandchildren; and a host of friends.
