He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Abbott and Tempi Dunn Abbott; his sons, Larry Abbott and Eric Cutts; and his siblings, Frank, Shortie, Nolan Abbott and Imogene Layne.
He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Hixson Abbott; his children, Mike, Josh Abbott and Kristie Graham (Robert); his grandchildren, Kayla Abbott, Thomas "Tom" Abbott, A. J. Cutts, Elijah Cutts, Jordan Derryberry, James Hedrick, David Abbott and Katie Abbott; and his siblings, J. R., Roy Lee Abbott and Edna Blevins. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home and Crematory (11415 S Main St, Trenton, GA 30752). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
