He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Gass and Novella Gass; and his siblings, Kenneth Gass, Dana Cagle, Carolyn Wooten and Sheila Spurgeon.
He is survived by: his wife Billie "Bit" Tinker Gass; his children, Dewayne Gass (Brenda) of Trenton and April Gass Holman of Dunlap, TN; his grandchildren, Devonna Smartt (Kevin) of Trenton, Justin Gass (Amanda) of Bryant, AL, Nicole Cannon of Dunlap, TN, Dakota Ford of Dunlap, TN and J. J. Ford of Dunlap, TN; his great grandchildren, Cole Smartt, Hunter Smartt and Evelynn Ford; and his siblings, James Gass of Trenton, Delean Ervin of Las Vegas, NV and Brenda Smith. He is also survived by several nieces & nephews.
