He was predeceased by: his sister Euvone Thrift. He is survived by: his wife Cathryn Strickland of Townsend; his children, Sheila Ryals (Gary) of Townsend, Dewayne Strickland (Lyn) of Waynesville and Mark Strickland of Townsend; and his siblings, Janice O'Quinn (Al) of Brantley County, Darsey Strickland (Joyce) of Prattville, AL, Derrell Strickland (Kathleen) of Savannah, Curtis Strickland (Karen) and Mack Strickland (Susan) of Brantley County. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Townsend Church of God (1231 Church Of God Rd NW, Townsend, GA 31331). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
