He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline LaVerne DeWitt Poppell; his children, Brandi Lorraine Poppell of Crescent, GA and Carl Anthony Poppell, Jr. (Rosie) of Newberry, SC; his grandchildren, Nicholas Poppell, Lillian Poppell, Addy Poppell, Leilah Poppell, Marley Poppell and Grayson Poppell; and his siblings, Sammy Poppell, Robert Poppell, Herman Poppell, Patricia Griffin (Ferrell) and David Poppell (Connie).
