He was predeceased by: his parents, Hardy Smith and Vivian Ann Simmons Smith; and his siblings, Joel Smith, Perry Smith and Brenda Ashley.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine Manley Smith; his children, Jessica Elmore of Star, SC, Ryan Smith of Toccoa, Brian Smith of Toccoa, Joshua Smith of Toccoa and Phillip Ramey of Toccoa; his sisters-in-law, Melissa Parker of Toccoa and Gail Manley of Toccoa; and his nephew Jessie Parker of Toccoa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the health and well-being of the community, social distancing must be observed.
