He is survived by: his parent Fannie Mae Carroll Akin; his siblings, John Akin and Kenneth Akin; his siblings-in-law, Marvin Williams, Eleanor Akin and Ruth Adams Akin; his wife Bernice Moncrief Akin; his children, Donna, John Morgan of Toccoa, Cherie, Cliff Roach of Lavonia and Angie Andrews; his siblings, Mary Williams of Martin, Dan Addison of Toccoa and Don Milford of Carnesville; his sister-in-law Barbara Stonecypher Akin; his grandchildren, Brett, Lisa Horan, Amber, Rick McVinney, Matthew Cates, Danielle, Mak McAllister, Emily Morgan, Ayden Andrews and Easton Andrews; and his great grandchildren, Aubrey Lew McAllister and Charles Asher McVinney.
