It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Garrett of Toccoa, Georgia, born in Meridian, Mississippi, who passed away on August 4, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Neil and Juanita Rayburn Garrett; his sister Anita Knight; his stepson Scott Heaton; and his parents-in-law, Frances Phillips and Noah Williams.
He is survived by: his pets, Eleanor and Bella; his wife Janette Garrett of Toccoa; his stepsons, Ricky Heaton of Royston and Bill Heaton of Gainesville; his sister-in-law Hope WIlliams of Bowersville; and his nephews, Craig Knight and Keith Knight of Meridian, MS. He is also survived by one step-grandchild; numerous great-grandchildren; brother-in-law.
