With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vickie Lynn DeFreese Whitworth of Toccoa, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on June 12, 2024 at the age of 67. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Billy Lanae and Jean Sosby DeFreese; her parents-in-law, Clarence and Effie Whitworth; her grandparents, Paul and Ruth Massey; her siblings-in-law, Marvin Whitworth (Vernelle), Ellen Alexander (Hugh), JoAnn DeFoor Whitworth and Ann Bennett (Sam); and her pet Scarlett.
She is survived by: her husband John Dan "Johnny" Whitworth; her children, Lynae Elizabeth Whitworth and Cale Daniel; her daughter-in-law Karen Petree Whitworth of Bloomingdale, Indiana; her grandson Finnigan Hoke "Finn" Whitworth of Bloomington; her sister Margaret Nix (Ray); her brothers-in-law, Joe Whitworth of Toccoa and Dean Whitworth (Peggy) of Carrolton, GA; and her close friend Marley. She is also survived by many other relatives and close friends.
