It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Lee Hewitt (Toccoa, Georgia), born in Stephens, Georgia, who passed away on February 22, 2022, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James McIver Hewitt and Edith Burrell Hewitt; and his brother Jimmy Hewitt, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Crystal (Michael Rich), Georgia (Sandi Neil Matson) and Clint; his daughter-in-law Sally Simmons of Toccoa; his grandchildren, Tucker Ruhlen, Tanner Ruhlen (Brittany), Ivy Ruhlen, Gavin Simmons, Emily Jones (Blake) and Hannah Thomas; and his siblings, John Hewitt (Georgia), Shirley Hewitt Bethune of Toccoa, Peggy Hewitt Allen of Toccoa and Toni Hewitt White of Toccoa. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Multiple Sclerosis Society Georgia Chapter, 950 East Paces Ferry Road, NE 110, Atlanta, Georgia 30326 in memory of Mr. Robert Lee Hewitt.
