It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Griffin (Toccoa, Georgia), born in Stephens, Georgia, who passed away on November 18, 2023, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Randy Griffin; and his siblings, Randolph "Buster" Griffin, Johnny Hambrick, Joe Vinson, Cynthia Richard and Anita Singleton.
He is survived by: his mother Wilma Alexander Vinson of Toccoa; his children, Corey (Kitlyn Griffin), Brandon Reid of Gulf Port, Mississippi and Amy; his son-in-law Evan Hammond of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Griffin, Aedyn and Addison Hammond; his siblings, Tommie Brown of Eastanollee, Brenda Herron of Toccoa, Gail Crump of Martin and Tim Vinson of Mt. Airy; his stepmother Joyce Griffin of Mt. Airy; and his close friend Christina Nixon of Piedmont. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
