It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Pat Barrett Turner (Toccoa, Georgia), born in Demorest, Georgia, who passed away on April 8, 2018, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parent Henry C. Abernathy; her husband Ernest Gene Turner; and her child Jimmy Douglas Barrett, Sr.. She is survived by: her parent Hazel Scroggs (Chastain); her children, Mark Lowery, Karen Barrett, Shane Barrett and Lisa Morgan; her grandchildren, Nicole, Matthew Barrett, Austin, Dylan, Christopher, Anna-Paige, Emma Barrett, Mercedes Weaver, Blake Lowery and Ethan Lowery; and her siblings, Becky Spencer, Sandra Molinaro, Libby Simmons, Deborah Crewe, Tammy Abernathy, Lorie Abernathy, Pam Wood, Kenneth Simmons, Terry Simmons, Jake Simmons, Michael Simmons, Johnny Scroggs, Bobby Abernathy, Jeff Abernathy, Ronnie Abernathy and Stanley Abernathy.

In lieu of flowers the family request donation be made to help cover funeral expenses.
