He is survived by: his children, Allyson Carter (Al) of Baldwin, Ginger Burton (Chris) of Melbourne and John Lawrence of Phoenix; the mother of his children Mary Diane Tomlin of Toccoa, Georgia.; his former wife Audie Lawrence of Rabun Gap, Georgia.; his siblings, Mary Elsie Beall of Gainesville, Carolyn Bradley Oakes of Melbourne, William Lex Lawrence of Bellwood, Ala and Lunnie Virginia Reid of Birmingham, Ala; and his grandchildren, Anna Burton, Chase Burton and Charles Carter.
